Clubs are like second families...
Spanish Honors Society
I am apart of the Spanish Honors Society and I was nominated to be the Secretary of Membership which means that I am responsible for not only making sure that people keep their GPA"s above a 3.5 but also pushing them to keep their grades up and push them to do their work. My goal as secretary of membership is to make sure all the seniors this year graduate with honors and I will make sure to make that goal an accomplishment. I'm beyond excited about this group of people and what's to come. I'm happy to say that I'm not only apart of such a great club but that I am an important part of it.

Associated Student Body
I am apart of ASB which is linked to Leadership and is very much so significant at Lindsay High School. We dedicate a lot of our own time and effort (sometimes even money) to get things done. We are responsible for many different things like planning out rallies,, helping out in the community, making sure our school is as fun and safe as we could make it and leading as examples for the rest of our student body. Even though Leadership/ASB is a lot of responsibility it is fun to be involved in what is going on at the school and the community. I love being alert of what's going on and what future events are occurring. Being in Leadership/ASB is a privilege and we must treat it like one in order to get everything done in time. Being in Leadership has taught me many things. In order for something to work, we as a whole must work as a team and help eachother out. It helped me be a leader, learn to work with others and definitely learn to use time and resources we are given wisely.

Future Business Leaders of America
FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America and the club is for students who like to go out of their way to study and take tests in competition against other people about certain subjects. My favorite part about the club is competing in the conferences and meeting new people. The best thing about the conferences is that we are all scored amongst our group and then as a whole so that we could all as a team receive a reward.

Art Club
Being involved in Art CLub is a fun way to learn about a the different types of art there is around the world. So far we have visited 2 museums and they were far from amazing. The type of art we had the opportunity to see was so unique, it wasn't everyday art. If art is someone's interest I'd suggest to join and visit awesome places.

HOW Dinner
I participate in the HOW Dinner every month. It is an organization that recognizes people with irreplaceable situations in their life like a death, disease, etc. Normally women gather together and donate money to the organization which goes to the chosen recipient. The recipient then chooses who gets to be the next recipient next month and the cycle continues. Before, the ceremony starts I, along with 2 other volunteers pass out dinner and greet the ladies. During the ceremony, I get to hear the stories of people who go through such tragic experiences that can't be changed and it makes me appreciate life.

Scicon Counselor
I volunteered to be a Scicon Counselor my junior year and I loved every minute of it. Scicon is a camp up in Springville, California in which a student and or counselor stays for a week in a cabin with a bunch of strangers (students from other schools) and gets to learn all about nature and go on awesome adventures. I met a lot of new people and had the chance to experience the counselor side of things. It of course came with much responsibilities but it was well worth it.

California Scholarship Federation
Link Crew
Link Crew is a club which are usually juniors and seniors. The point of the club is to help out at freshman orientation. The Link Crew leaders are in charge of a group of kids and they are supposed to show the students an overview of the school like where classes are, how you should behave, what should you expect and answer any questions that any students might have about school or anything in general.

American Sign Language |
I am a first time member of ASL as a junior and I'm very excited to be a part of it. I like the thought of learning another language and being able to communicate with people in more ways than one. I find sign language very interesting and I'm glad that I'm slowly but surely learning it. ASL has by far been one of the best clubs I've been a part of and I would defiantly recommend it to others. I've learned the alphabet and numbers and a couple words. I get so excited when I learn something new because I know that I'm one step closer to being able to having full conversations with other ASL members and users.

JV/Varsity Softball Team
|
I am a part of the Lindsay High School Softball team and have been for the past 3 years. My junior year will be my first year being on Varsity which makes me excited for the simple fact that the game will be faster and our wins will mean something referring to (playoffs). Softball is a way for me to stay in shape, keep my grades up, be apart of the school and an easy way to make friends. In the past years that I've played softball, I've built a bond with my team that I never thought I would. I enjoy being close to my teammates because it feels good knowing there is someone I could go to if I need someone to talk to and the more self evident reason which is if we act like a team we will play like a team. I'm always looking forward to going to practice and getting ready for games, love the excitement, and the screaming fans. All of it is just so fun. Play, Score, Win. Go Cardinals!

Advanced Placement |
Since junior year I've been enrolled in Advanced Placement classes (AP) and boy are they tough but they are advanced placement for a reason. I enjoy having a challenge and testing my abilities which is exactly what these type of classes do. I've had AP English Language, AP United States History, AP Spanish Language, AP English Literature, AP Gov and AP Spanish Literature. They have been the toughest classes that I've taken here at LHS without a doubt but if it wasn't for these classes I would've never met some of my closes friends now, I wouldn't know how hard I can push myself and I wouldn't know what college courses feel like.. My first semester junior year I was struggling with all the classes because I wasn't adapted to the work load and didn't realize how much time and effort they would take. I found myself doing nothing but homework day in and day out and it felt like the homework was never going to end. I felt as if I was drowning in homework. It wasn't until the end of junior year that I finally got the hang of it.. Advanced Placement classes have taught me not only the subject that I was working on but also life lessons. I've learned how to manage time, how to prioritize and how to choose my group of friends. Being in ap classes makes you realize the type of people you should surround yourself with - harding working, determined and dedicated - people who are all on the same page as you and want to push themselves past their limits. Students who are preparing themselves for the college they will be attending after high school. I don't regret any sleepless nights that I've had due to the ap class homework because it's taught me everything I know.
