These past few years have been some of the toughest, life changing, yet fun and exciting experiences of my life all wrapped in one. Anything from friends to school to family has changed dramatically. I’ve grown to see life differently in a way I never knew I would and I’m happy to say that I like where I've ended up to this day.
I personally have always been a motivated person, always willing to help others and have a smile on my face no matter what is going on in my life. Junior year is by far the toughest and most challenging year in high school. I am currently taking 3 AP courses and boy, are they hard. Don’t let me fool you; my self-motivation took quite a while to turn on this semester because of how hard my schedule was. I let the laziness get the best of me and even considered dropping an AP class. I was physically, mentally and emotionally drained. I didn't have the energy to do so much work because I wasn't used to it. I went from a sophomore that never had homework to a junior that had 3 AP classes worth of homework. The transition was definitely challenging for me, but I am thankful that my counselor didn't let me drop my AP class because she knew I could do it. I myself knew I could manage 3 AP classes, but I just needed that extra boost to show that someone believed in me.
From the beginning of freshman year to now, I have made a drastic change all around. I see things differently and from a new perspective. I've learned to appreciate everything and everyone that’s in my life but the changes that I made came with both negative and positive outcomes. In the process of all the changes I lost many friends that I thought I'd never lose but I didn't take it to heart because I knew that my next path to success that I was headed to, they weren't ready for it. I really focus on the group of people that I surround myself with because it does say a lot about a person's character. I pay attention to what people bring to the table. There are only a few people that have really grown on me. One thing I've learned is to make the best out of the time I have with my friends just in case they're not a part of my next chapter in life.
My life has had its share of ups and downs but I wouldn't change a thing. Every single person thats came into my life has left a mark on it. Whether good or bad I learned from every situation in my life. I managed to get through obstacles that I didn't think were possible. If it wasn't for all the good days and bad, I wouldn't be the weird, outgoing person I am today.
